Dawgs the Isle - Session Report for 2/28/2026
28th Early Spring
Party consisted of the following: Moldy Ori, Daithi, Odela, Lllwd, Foot Two-Man, and Ivan
- The Dawgs headed to Stemullen to followup on reports of the village being attacked and razed. The party made it without any encounters or incidents, camping halfway to ensure we didn't reach the town at night.
- Stemullen was a desiccated ruin full of the remnants of the dead. Only the beehives were untouched, though the amount of bees were described as 'overflowing'.
- The bodies of the dead attackers were shriveled and desiccated (almost mummified), misshapen and distended. Webs of metal crisscrossed their bodies. Their weapons were crude molt iron, put together improperly.
- The body of Stemullen's Druid, McCullen, was proped against the standing rock. His throat had been ripped out and a beehive had been built in the cavity of his ribcage.
- Foot Twoman set up a big smudge fire upwind of the beehives. The bees seemed normal, there were just a lot of them. The honey was still delicious. Moldy Ori and he both collected some honey in jars.
- That night was busy. During second watch Moldy Ori and Daithi went and investigated sounds of a bleating in the woods. There they found goats being attacked by wolves. They were able to pull back without incident. Later on they found some former Stemullians (or possibly just looters) scavenging among the ruins. Moldy Ori talked with the scavengers who had not seen the Oremen since the attack and said they lived deep in the forest to the South. The discussion was very tense but did not devolve into violence.
- The Dawgs decided there were too many Oremen to attack themselves. They returned to Dorbagh and informed Lord Donnagh about everything they had learned. The Dawgs then decided to head to Ogonnelleo to investigate rumors about Druids living to the East. The Dawgs made it to Ogonnelleo without incident and had a meeting with Ailin's Wife and Chloda (her daughter?). The learn that the Druids meet to the East near a circle of stones on the full moon. We get the sense that Chloda told us more than Ailin's wife would've liked. The next full moon is two weeks away so the Dawgs settle on investigating a nearby fort. Inside the fort are shackles that appear new, everything else is ancient.
- The Dawgs then embark on some proper hexcrawling. South of Dorbagh on the road they find the Monastery of St. Olham, Patron of converts, snakes, and monks with sticks up their asses. After the wall-pissing incident, the Dawgs are told they are no longer welcome. Odela punches Ori, but it does not escalate.
- Further south the Dawgs find a nameless hamlet near the sea. Nothing remains except birds and seashells, lots of seashells. The Dawgs camp in the deserted hamlet. During the night the lookout reports seeing lights dancing beneath the water about a half mile out.
- The Dawgs continue South along the road. They run across a gargantuan herd of cows with 5 cowboys. Negotiations to buy a cow fall apart and the situation almost gets dicey due to religious differences but due to a misunderstanding it stays calm. We head into town, Ciollhecan, which consists of a church and a ring of houses. We meet Ultan, the Emo Boy. Daithi tries to beat some sense into him. Ultan's father lets us know that the boy is broken up about a girl named Ciamhani. Ultan is going to become a 'Stone Man'. The father lets us know we need to bring the stone men water or they become violent, they are positioned North on the road to Blulach. Some years ago a sad man came to town and possibly became a stone man, not sure how.
Notes for next session:
- Don’t forget to bring water for the stone men.
- Look up horses in Blulach. Foot Two-men will need to start looking for some source of money if we’re going to buy horses. He has enough to purchase one but the extra costs associated with a horse will begin piling up.
- Depending on how foraging goes we'll need more food.
